YEREVAN. – Arthur Javadyan, Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA), on Wednesday received a delegation led by Argentine Armenian Carlos Melconian, President of the Bank of the Argentine Nation.

The CBA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that Javadyan noted that the Central Bank of Armenia has always encouraged the foreign institutional investors’ entry to the financial market of the country.

At the request of the guests, the CBA chief also presented the current state of Armenia’s financial system.

Melconian, for his part, expressed readiness to contribute to the strengthening of ties and attracting of investment between the financial sectors of the two countries, and to Armenia’s presentation abroad.

Subsequently, Carlos Melconian met with representatives of the Argentine companies that have invested in Armenia and its financial market. They discussed investment opportunities in Armenia, its investment appeal, and macroeconomic developments.
