The Russian Federation expects participation of Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Ukraine in the meeting of BSEC Foreign Ministers in Sochi.

Moscow is ready to hold bilateral negotiations with the Foreign Minister of Turkey if they respond positively to the invitation to participate in the meeting, RIA Novosti reported quoting Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vasily Nebenzia.

The Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) unites the states of the region of the Black Sea and the Balkan Peninsula. BSEC Foreign Ministers Council will be held in Sochi on July 1.

Nebenzia said that they have invited all ministers and are waiting for all, including Turkey and Ukraine, but there is no answer yet. He noted that the participants will be determined this week or at the beginning of the next.

He explained that the format of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the BSEC as such is not intended to hold bilateral meetings, because it is a multilateral platform.

Nebenzia stated that he supposed that that if the Turkish minister is there then he would like to talk to the Russian colleague.
