Talks between presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan on Karabakh should not be made public, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair James Warlik said in an interview with the Voice of America.
“Discussions between presidents do not have to be made public because they speak frankly to each other,” he said, adding that there are more areas for agreement, than for disagreement .
He emphasized that “everything needs to be agreed”, and none of the issues should be taken out.
As to the basic principles of the settlement, the American diplomat recalled that they had been unchanged for 20 years. The principles have not been developed yesterday or last year, they are based on principles and elements that have been under discussion for years.
