Turkish Minister of European Union Affairs Ömer Çelik thinks that the isolation of UK is a bad decision for Europe.

“Isolationism would destroy European values. Turkey worked with the European Union to address the refugee crisis, one of the greatest challenges Europe faces today. What Europe needs is a fresh start including an update to existing mechanisms. We respect the British people’s decision, but the decision is bad for Europe,” Çelik said, Independent reports.

A referendum was held in UK Thursday on country’s membership of the EU. According to the official information, 51.9 percent of the voters expressed a wish to leave EU, RIA Novosti reports.
