The UK that voted for Brexit  in the referendum has no way back, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel stated in an interview with La Derniere Heure.

Michel urged the Britons to understand that they will not be able to return or to postpone the issue. He also insists to take their choice, no matter how dramatic it is, Sputnik News reported.

Michel reminded that in February the EU made concessions to British Prime Minister David Cameron and made exceptions for the country of the migration policy and social services. However, now these agreements are poisoned in trash.

The prime minister said that he does not intend to pay for Brexit and to agree with the proposal by European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker that 1,600 European officials from Britain can continue working in Brussels.

Charles Michel stated that now for him there is only the Belgian and European interests, but not British.

“There is no way back, they [the UK nationals] should understand that they have made a dramatic choice for the UK future, not for the EU,” Derniere Heure newspaper reported quoting Michel.
