STEPANAKERT. – More than 850 people have been recognized as the injured party within the framework of the criminal case into the large-scale aggression which Azerbaijan had unleashed against the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), in early April.

NKR Prosecutor General’s Office representative Karen Gabrielyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the criminal case consists of 45 volumes, each comprising 250 pages.

According to the case materials, four Artsakh civilians, including one minor, were killed as a result of this aggression. In addition, the Azerbaijani soldiers had subjected the dead bodies of three elderly to ridicule; they had cut off their ears.

More than 850 people have been recognized as the injured party. Another 185 NKR citizens, who are currently in Armenia, also have been recognized as the injured party. These persons have also suffered material damage as a result of the Azerbaijani aggression.

According to the material and technical expertise results that have been received so far, the damage is estimated at 778,899,000 drams (approx. US$1,633,632).

The houses and buildings in the affected Artsakh settlements were inspected within the scope of the respective investigation.

In addition, 44 vehicles were damaged in the aggression.

The NKR Police are conducting the investigation.
