YEREVAN. - The Armenian Defense Ministry is holding talks with several foreign clinics to find out what they can offer for the treatment of the Armenian soldiers Roland Sahakyan and Avetis Zargaryan, who were wounded in April war.

Head of the Military and Medical Department of the Armenian Defense Ministry, Kamavor Khachatryan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

In his words, the MOD workers have already sent the documents and all the information related to the wounded soldiers to several foreign clinics, which have a good reputation in the area of physiotherapeutic treatment and surgery, and are now waiting for an answer.

When it becomes clear what specific treatment those clinics can offer to the wounded soldiers and for what price, the full package of information will be directed to the ad hoc committee set up by the Health Ministry, which takes decisions on the organization of the wounded soldiers’ treatment abroad because of the impossibility to organize it in Armenia.

According to Khachatryan, the committee is made up of a number of doctors, including chief specialists from the Health Ministry and several specialists from the Ministry of Defense. They will make collegial decision on what to do next: send the young men abroad or organize their treatment in Armenia.
