After Brexit, Germany will gain a much more important role in the EU, Director of the Armenian Center for Political and International Studies, Aghasi Yenokyan stated at a press conference on Wednesday.

According to him, the winners of the referendum in the UK admitted that they do not know their next step, they do not know what to do.

“The task was only in carrying out this issue. The lack of political agenda is a serious problem. The EU can become weaker and softer structure not to let other member countries leave the block. But as though the second tendency – strengthening of the EU prevails", Enokyan said

The political scientist does not agree with the view that Russia's position will increase as a result of Brexit.

“The role of the United States will seriously strengthen despite the fact that it is much told that the UK is the conductor of U.S. policy,” Aghasi Yenokyan noted.

The referendum on Brexit was held in the UK on June 23. According to the official data, 51.9% (17,41 million people) voted for Brexit.
