YEREVAN. – The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide an additional €534-thousand loan for the modernization of Armenia’s border checkpoints.

Main speaker Armen Alaverdyan, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, stated the aforesaid at Wednesday’s National Assembly deliberations on the ratification of the respective change in the financial agreement that was signed between Armenia and the EIB.

“We have received the €30 million from the planned €38 million,” said Alaverdyan. “But we still need a €534-thousand additional loan program for the modernization of border checkpoints.”

Most of the €534 thousand will be provided to purchase servers and technical devices.
