U.S. President Barack Obama during a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted Ankara's efforts on normalization of relations with Russia and Israel and on taking measures to reduce tension in relations with Russia, the press service of the White House reported.

Obama also expressed his condolences to the Turkish leader in connection with the terrorist attacks at Istanbul airport describing them as aggression against the entire international community.

President Obama offered all possible assistance to the Turkish authorities in the investigation and expressed their readiness to continue to cooperate with Turkey and all the partners and allies in the fight against terrorism, CNN reported.
