YEREVAN. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) President Bako Sahakyan, and German Minister for Foreign Affairs and Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Chairperson-in-Office Frank-Walter Steinmeier met early Thursday morning in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

NKR Minister of Foreign Affairs Karen Mirzoyan told reporters that the meeting was held in a very sincere atmosphere.

“The parties exchanged views, which mainly concerned seeking a way out of the situation,” said the FM.

He recalled that the steps, which will enable to resume the negotiation process, are discussed for a long time.

“We presented our viewpoint in connection with these matters,” added Mirzoyan. “It was noted that these proposals are in line with what the Artsakh side proposes since a long time ago, since the beginning of the 2000s.

“The Artsakh side presented other proposals, too, whose implementation will not only enable to overcome the distrust between the parties to the [Karabakh] conflict, but ensure unimpeded progress of the negotiation process.”
