Armenia will soon join the agreement on the CIS integrated currency market. The press service of the Central Bank of Armenia told the Armenian News - NEWS.am that the agreement is submitted to the Parliament and is at the stage of ratification. As earlier reported the agreement on organizing an integrated currency market among the CIS member states have been ratified so far by Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The agreement envisages to allow banks of one of the CIS countries to implement interbank currency conversion in the currency markets of other CIS countries , on equal terms with the banks of those states . However, Armenia has already created a similar system with the above countries within the framework of the Eurasian Union . Equal conditions in the interbank foreign exchange markets are stipulated by the Agreement on establishment of the EAEC .

It should be noted that much efforts have been made in the system of exchange rates, but the issue of the general credit market has not yet raised in the  EAEC , not to mention the CIS. However, the simplified foreign exchange transactions also provide advantages: the banks are able to change the currency in partner countries without commissions and other expenses.
