Bulgaria may export gas from Iran through Armenia and Georgia, said the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov during his visit to Iran, reports the  Natural Gas Europe.

According to him, the issue of the transport corridor between the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea will be discussed at the anticipated meeting in Sofia. At the same time, the Energy Minister of Bulgaria Temenuzhka Pekova discussed with his colleague Bijan Zanganeh the prospects of bilateral cooperation during his visit to Tehran.

Zanganeh stressed that Iran considers Bulgaria as a partner and a gateway of the Iranian energy to European markets. One of the possible routes for the Iranian gas is the liquefied natural gas terminal in the Greek Alexandroupoli near the border of Turkey, as well as the pipeline that connects Greece and Bulgaria.  The parties will specify the technical and financial details of the project until October.
