YEREVAN. – The war in April—when Azerbaijan had unleashed an unprecedented military aggression against the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh)—had an impact on the investments from abroad to Armenia.

The Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs of Armenia, Robert Harutyunyan, on Friday told the abovementioned to reporters.

“The war in April definitely affected investments,” said Harutyunyan. “It creates problems from the businessmen’s point of view, especially when they don’t go deep into the situation and start thinking that investing here [in Armenia] implies instability.”

The Armenian deputy FM noted that the diplomatic corps needs to make a greater effort to settle this matter.

“We have to explain to them that the events [in April] were not in Armenia, [that] Armenia is a favorable environment for investments,” added Robert Harutyunyan.
