Twitter has launched a service for filing online applications for verification of user accounts, blog’s official website reported.

The statement says that the purpose of this update is to help users in search of interesting accounts, and for the owners of the microblogs and the interested persons, regardless of their location, the service will allow reaching a wide audience of readers faster and easier.

Before innovations pages of companies or famous people have been verified, they are marked with a special blue circle with a white tick on Twitter.

The social network Twitter is a microblog service for a public exchange of short messages. The monthly active users are nearly 330 million people. The company's capitalization reaches $12 billion.
