On July 21 in Belarus there begins a process of nominating Senators, which will end on August 19, reported the BELTA.

The candidates will be run by the presidiums of the local MP councils and corresponding executive committees, whereas in Minsk by the City Council Ministry and the Ministry of Municipal Executive Committee

The candidates from the Council members will register at the CEC on August 20-24. The elections of the senators will be held from August 25 to September 13 at the sessions of the  local deputies’ councils .

The Council is one of two chambers of the Belarusian parliament . It is a chamber of territorial representation and has 64 members. Moreover,

56 people are elected, whereas, 8 are appointed by the President of Belarus.
