YEREVAN. – The Armenian government on Thursday approved the concept of the policy on integration of people recognized as refugees and having asylum, as well as long-term migrants.

The purpose of the draft decision submitted by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Development of Armenia Davit Lokyan is to ensure fulfillment of the obligations undertaken by the country in a number of international documents on human rights, to ensure tolerance and stability in the society through the integration of foreigners.

The decision will help fill in the gap of Armenia’s migration policy on the part of the concept paper on a special policy of integration of migrants.
