YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Thursday met with U.S. Congress member Jim Costa.

President welcomed the guest and stressed importance of Congressman's visit to Armenia as well as a unique role of the inter-parliamentary relations for the development of Armenian-American relations.

The interlocutors touched upon the Armenian-American relations, including the efforts to advance economic cooperation and prospects for development of cooperation. They exchanged views about the future-oriented issues, Armenia's relations with the regional countries and the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

President Sargsyan and U.S. Congressman Jim Costa agreed that Armenia-US relations are at a historically high level.
