YEREVAN. – Allegations that there are no other options to change tough situation in Armenia are false, ARF Dashnaktsutyun said in a statement referring to the seizure of police headquarters in Yerevan.

“A group of people who refuse the methods of political struggle demand a political change through arms. This is a stalemate, crisis of thinking,” ARF said.

ARF admits that qualitative changes are needed, but believes that radical thinking puts off these changes.

“Insults, enmity, hatred, violence, neglect of expectations and dissatisfaction of the people have always shared and destroyed the collective strength of the Armenians. The consolidation of our people following the April war in seriously jeopardized,” the statement reads.

There is a danger that weArmenia will lose again the years, which is fraught with new losses in the inner and outer life of the country.

“ARF is committed to exclusively peaceful resolution of the situation, considering unacceptable bloodshed, demands from law enforcement to show professionalism, respect the rights and dignity of the law-abiding citizens, strongly condemns the non-political methods of struggle and radical thinking.

We can have a strong, free and prosperous Armenia. On this path we have to create a qualitatively new government.”
