Earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 occurred in Alaska on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

According to its data, the epicenter of the tremors was approximately in 26 km to the southeast from the settlement King-Salmon and in 474 km to the southwest from the city of Anchorage of the American state Alaska. The center of the quake was at the depth of 217 km.

Information on casualties and destructions was not received, TASS reported.
