Muhammet Sait Gülen , the nephew of the Islamic oppositionist Fethullah Gulen , whom Ankara accuses of organizing the coup attempt , was arrested in Turkey , reports the TASS referring to the Anatolian Agency .

The arrest was made during the investigation of the coup attempt in Turkey made on the night of July 15-16th. Earlier it was reported that the trial of Fethullah Gülen and members of " the Fethullahist terrorist organization " will start in Turkey in late November . Ankara has officially sent a request to Washington D.C. to extradite  Gülen who has been permanently residing in the United States since 1999 . If the extradition does not take place , the trial  will be held in absentia of Gülen .
