Los Angeles residents are massively uploading in social networks photos of "bloody" sun, which was hanging over the city on the weekend, reports the  Mashable. Some witnesses felt that such a luminary can be a foretoken of the apocalypse.

Unusual red color of the sun and its scope is explained by the fact that there have been accumulated smokes rising from fires in the suburbs of Los Angeles . The sky in the disastrous area is covered by dense smoke.

According to the recent data the fire killed at least one person and destroyed about 20 houses . The fire covered more than 22 thousand hectares of land. Due to the threat of spreading the fire the local residents of the area were evacuated, reports  the Lenta.
