YEREVAN. – Armenian police released a statement in connection with night events on Khorenatsi Street.

According to police, an armed group burned a police bus outside the regiment, then rolled out two more cars from the territory of regiment and burned them, too. Group actions were accompanied by fire from the territory of the captured regiment.

At around 1 p.m.  a vehicle moved in the direction of Erebuni police department from the area of captured regiment. When the car was close to the cordon, the police opened fire on the engine, and retaliatory shots were heard out of the car. The police then opened fire at the wheels.

Two of the three men sitting in the car were injured in their legs, but managed to return to the territory of the regiment.

Law enforcement officers immediately summoned medical team and offered to take the wounded to the hospital. The group agreed, two wounded - Ashot Petrosyan and Hovhannes Harutyunyan – are hospitalized.
