YEREVAN. – Armenia does not experience any problems in negotiations with the EU on a new document on cooperation, Deputy Minister of Economy Garegin Melkonyan said.

According to him, in general, the negotiations are held according to the schedule. Mutual visits and video conferences are held several times a month. By the end of the year, two other major negotiating rounds are expected, he said, adding that it is difficult to specify a precise date.

There are no problems with such a sensitive section of the document as future instrument which, more than other matters, requires coordination with the membership in the Eurasian Union. Some parts of the text have been agreed, the others are still under discussion.

“Since Armenia has already passed through the preparation of a document with the EU, a new document is made faster. On the other hand, the difficulty is that its provisions should be compared with the agreement of membership in the Eurasian Union,” Melkonyan said.
