The daughter of 50 -year-old Ashot Petrosyan who was injured on July 26 at around 2 am in the shootout between the police and Sasna Tserer members learned about his father’s injury on the Facebook and rushed immediately to the Erebuni medical center to see his father.

Today, on July 26 , she told journalists that within that period the police came at her place and tried to persuade her to go to Khorenatsy Street and convince Ashot Petrosyan to lay down his arms.

Ashot Petrosyan’s defense attorney Hayarpi Sargsyan told journalists that his client's rights have been violated. "The head of the intensive care unit did not allow his children to see their father.  Representatives of law enforcement bodies, who at that time were in the hospital, noted that only the press could be informed about what was happening inside, "said the defender. The defense attorney said that he will appeal to the Ombudsman , in order to restore the rights of his client .

As reported earlier,  a shootout took place between the police and the members of Sasna Tsrer armed group . Ashot Petrosyan and Hovhannes Harutyunyan were injured. According to the announcement of Sasna Tserer, at 2:00 am the police cordon opened a fire, due to which  two members of Sasna Tsrer  were injured in their feet.

The police announced that at around 01:00 am a police car of VAZ brand  drove outside the regiment and moved in direction of Erebuni Police Department: towards the police cordon. The car approached the cordon, after which  the police officers had opened a fire on the car’s engine, to prevent the immediate threat coming from the armed men in the car. The car swerved left, and the police fired on the tires of the car. The men in the car fired back the shots. Due to the shooting, two members of Sasna Tsrer  in the car were injured in their feet and retreated to the regiment. At the moment Ashot Petrosyan and Hovhannes Harutyunyan are in the hospital and receive the necessary medical assistance.
