YEREVAN. – Armenian parliament speaker Galust Sahakyan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Armenia Bassam Mohammad Al-Qabandi who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia.

Galust Sahakyan  highly appreciated his activity in Armenia and noted that thanks to his work positive achievements in the Armenian-Kuwaiti relations are recorded, parliament’s press office reported. The speaker emphasized that the dialogue existing between two states became more active in recent years. The head of the Parliament highlighted the strengthening of inter-parliamentary communication between the two countries, and also development of cooperation in a number of spheres. Galust Sahakyan   expressed hope for development of friendship between Armenia and Kuwait also with the new ambassador.

Bassam Mohammad Al-Qabandi thanked for warm welcome and effective cooperation and noted that leaves Armenia with good memories.

As for bilateral relations, the Ambassador assured that they are on a sound footing and continue to develop. Bassam Mohammad Al-Qabandi also emphasized the importance of deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation and realization of joint programs in a number of areas.

During the meeting, importance of work of groups of friendship, mutual contacts, developments of trade and economic cooperation was discussed.
