YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ombudsman believes detention of citizens without any grounds and explanations is unacceptable.
The Armenian Constitution envisages providing information to the citizens about the reasons of detention. This provision of the Constitution has a direct effect and has to be strictly complied with, Ombudsman’s office said in a statement.
