YEREVAN. - A separate lane is needed for Armenian cars at the Russian Upper Lars checkpoint bordering with Georgia, President of Armenia-Russia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Barseghyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

In his words, he raised the issue at the session of the Consultative Committee for Entrepreneurship by the Eurasian Economic Commission. The session was held in Yerevan in early July. In fact, it is not the first time the issue has been raised; the Transportation Ministries of Armenia and Russia have been dealing with it for already several months.

“That is, we didn’t say anything new; we simply once again reminded that it is desirable to solve the issue. Personally I visited the Russian-Georgian border 15 days ago and noticed that our cars are queuing equally with the rest. If we are included in the Eurasian Union, let the procedures be more facilitated for us than for third countries. I think there is logic behind this,” Barseghyan stressed.
