YEREVAN. - The Armenian National Assembly (NA) will not convene an extraordinary session to discuss the situation round the seizure of Yerevan’s Erebuni police station by the Sansa Tsrer armed group.

MP Nikol Pashinyan didn’t manage to collect the necessary 44 signatures, since only 19 MPs had signed on the form, four others expressing a wish to sign.

The deadline for submitting the signatures for convening an extraordinary session was 5:00 pm Thursday.

MPs Tevan Poghosyan, Nikol Pashinyan, Levon Zurabyan, Stepan Demirchyan, Khachatur Kokobelyan, Alexander Arzumanyan, Zaruhi Postanjyan, Elinar Vardanyan, Vartan Oskanian, Stepan Margaryan, Vahe Hovhannisyan, Ruben Hakobyan, Lyudmila Sargsyan, Tigran Urikhanyan, Heghine Bisharyan, Levon Dokholyan, Mher Shahgeldyan, Hovhannes Margaryan and Ishkhan Khachatryan had signed under Pashinyan’s initiative.

Prosperous Armenia Party faction MPs Naira Zohrabyan, Vahe Enfiajyan, Lyova Khachatryan and Ruben Gevorgyan had also announced about joining them.
