YEREVAN. - In the recent days minors have also taken part in the assemblies organized in Yerevan’s Khorenatsi street and Liberty Square, Spokesperson for Armenian police Ashot Aharonyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“Possible dangers cannot be ignored in the event of their further participation in such events. Considering their age, minors cannot adequately assess the situation and changes therein, as well as the actions of the crowd and their consequences.

Moreover, there might be ill-meaning people who can cause harm to the children, taking advantage of the non-standard situation.

Thus, we urge parents to be attentive to their children, not leave them without control and not allow them participate in rallies. We urge the organizers and participants of rallies to constantly keep in focus the minors appearing in the zone of assemblies out of the control of their parents, watch their conduct and transportation, and immediately turn to the policemen in case of suspicious situations related to children. Ensuring the children’s security is a common issue for all of us,” he noted.
