121 pupils of Gyumri, the second largest city of Armenia, are combining their summer vacation with programming courses in the framework of the Techno Summer School organized by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) and Gyumri Technology Center (GTC). The classes kicked off on July 27 and will last till September 1.

Techno Summer School aims to familiarize the participants with innovative technologies and programming tools, as well as develop their logical and algorithm thinking, making the vacations both interesting and productive.

“Overall, we have 121 participants, including the winners of the republican school Olympiad and gold medalists. C++, Java and Python courses are designed for high school students, Ms Office, Inet and Kodu courses being for 8-15-year-olds.

By the end of the program, the children will have sufficient knowledge and skills in the IT sphere,” EIF program manager Mariam Nahapetyan noted.

Summer schools for pupils have been initiated in almost all the innovation centers established by the EIF, including Microsoft Innovation Center, Armenian-Indian Center of Excellence in ICT, as well as Vanadzor and Gyumri Technology Centers.

EIF is one of the largest technology business incubators and consultation companies in the region. The projects implemented by the Foundation touch on all important areas of the IT sphere.
