Iran lifted the ban on the organization of tourist trips to Turkey, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi stated.

A day before Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and the delegation which he headed visited Ankara where they met Turkish colleague Mevlut Chavusoglu, President Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.

According to Qasemi, the parties held constructive and detailed negotiations on different issues, including raising of the regional and international matters which are of interest to both countries.

Qasemi stated that taking into account the request of the Turkish side concerning renewal of trips from Iran to Turkey, Iran lifts a ban on traveling to Turkey not forgetting all necessary obligations which lay down on the Turkish side.

Iran suspended air links with Turkey after th July 15 military coup attempt.
