According to the latest data, three people have died and forty others are injured in the explosion that occurred in the vicinity of a police station in Van Province in eastern Turkey, RIA Novosti news agency of Russia reported citing Doğan News Agency (DHA) of Turkey.

Two police officers also were injured in the blast, and they were taken to hospital.

According to the DHA’s information, members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) have detonated the explosive device.

Earlier it was reported that a car filled with explosives had blown up nearby the said police station.
