The ethnic Turks in Belgium due to the threats against them have to remove their children from schools that are financed by companies standing next to the opposition preacher Fethulla Gulen , reports the  Belga agency.

The threat is posed to the parents whose children are enrolled in primary and secondary schools of Flanders and Brussels. According to the Lucerne college director of Anderlecht (a Brussels’ region that has the largest portion of the Muslim population ),  the organizations that support the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan are standing behind those threats, says the agency.

The Belgian Coordination Unit for Threat Analysis (OCAM) under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belgium  estimates the possibility of the collision between Gulen and Erdogan’s supporters as average. A number of non-violent incidents have been registered in Antwerp , Brussels, and Sharlrua. In Belgium, 69 % of ethnic Turks who have dual citizenship in the last presidential elections in Turkey have voted for Erdogan , according to media reports.

On July 16, a group of insurgents in Turkey attempted to carry out a military coup. The main confrontation took place in Ankara and Istanbul. According to the latest data, apart from insurgents 246 Turkish citizens were killed,  more than 2 thousand people were injured; the rebellion was suppressed. The Turkish authorities blame the proclaimer Fethulla Gulen for the attempted coup and require the United States to extradite him.
