The son of Armenian political prisoner Shant Harutyunyan, Shahen Harutyunyan, ended his hunger strike while ago.

Harutyunyan announced the aforementioned during the rally held in Yerevan’s Liberty Square on Friday.

“I have been in hunger-strike for three days in support of [Heritage Party member] Davit Sansaryan and Armenian political prisoners. Davit Sanasaryan and Armen Martorisyan have already been released.  The demand has now been partially satisfied. I will continue my strong struggle against all the political prisoners of Armenia with Davit Sanasaryan.  The life of struggling citizens like me and us is not a value for Serzh Sargsyan, but I didn’t want to stay home, make calls and make no steps. I was going o continue my three-day hunger-strike unless Davit was released, but after he has been released, I think it’s time to go home,” Harutyunyan said.

Prior to Shahen Harutyunyan’s speech, President of Hayazn Party Armen Hovhannisyan had urged the latter and arrested Andrias Ghukasyan to end their hunger-strike.
