Turkey’s parliament has ratified a reconciliation deal reached with Israel, according to the Associated Press.

Under the terms of the reconciliation agreement, Israel will pay a “lump sum” of $20 million in compensation within 25 days to families of the victims of the 2010 Israeli naval raid on a Turkish ship.

Individual Israeli nationals also would not be held criminally or financially liable for the incident.

The Israeli Cabinet has already approved the deal.

Turkey-Israel relations imploded in 2010 following an Israeli naval raid on a Turkish ship trying to breach Israel’s blockade of the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip and take humanitarian aid there. The raid killed 10 Turkish activists.
