World’s highest and longest glass-bottomed bridge is officially opened in China, The Telegraph reported.

It spans across the Zhangjiajie Canyon, in Hunan province. The 430-meter long, 6-meter wide bridge, paved with 99 panes of three-layer transparent glasses, hangs between two steep cliffs 300 meters above the ground.

According to Xinhua agency, the construction of the bridge made $3.4m.

It is noted that now the number of visitors is limited, nearly 600 people are allowed to be on the bridge. It was previously reported that the bridge is capable to stand 800 visitors at the same time. The maximum number of people who can visit the bridge during a day makes 8,000.

Tickets can be bought at the box office or be ordered on the Internet, at the same time it is necessary to book the tickets for visit at least several days before it.
