The number of foreign declined significantly in France in the second quarter of the year, official data stated.

It is noted that frequent street protests and strikes, bad weather conditions and militant attacks are among the reasons of France's decline in popularity, Reuters reported.

So, according to official data, by the end of June the number of foreign tourists who stayed overnight in the French hotels decreased by 8.5% in three months. In Paris the same indicator dropped by 12.9%. Weather conditions also added problems to French tourism business. Stays in camping sites were down 6.8 percent.  It is specified that the last spring was the coldest and wettest in France over the last 50 years.

French popularity’s declining trend was a surprise for workers of the tourist sphere of the country as the situation began to improve after the November terrorist attacks.
