Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MIT) requested assistance from the German intelligence to search the preacher Fethullah Gulen's supporters and to extradite them, reports the Spiegel. Note that Ankara blames Gülen of the military coup attempt in Turkey on July 15.

According to the publication, the Turkish authorities, starting from July 15, submitted 40 applications to Germany to search Gulen and 3 applications to expel Gulen's supporters. The Turkish Embassy has repeatedly appealed to the authorities, warning about the danger that might come from the Gulen . However, Germany has not made a decision at the regional level to search the preacher's supporters.

The periodical reports that the Turkish authorities required the authorities of Berlin and Baden- Württemberg to examine the educational institutions , but that claim was rejected as well.
