Yulia Ivanova, senior assistant to head of the Moscow General Department of the Russian Investigative Committee, informed that according to investigation, bankrupt Armenian businessman Aram Petrosyan, who had taken over a Citibank branch in downtown Moscow, committed such a crime because he was unable to pay his loan debts to banks, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.
“As a primary motive, the General Department investigators are considering the difficult financial situation [of Petrosyan], and the impossibility of fulfilling [his] loan obligations to various banks,” said Ivanova.
Earlier, a Moscow court received a motion for Aram Petrosyan’s arrest.
