Extreme rightists of German Identity Movement (Identitäre Bewegung Deutschland, IBD) climbed the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin on Saturday.  The activist protested against the Free Border Policy on the Open Doors Day at the German government, which was also covered migration and integration topics this year, DW reports.

IBD accuses the German government of failing to handle the flow of numerous refugees arriving in Germany and putting up with the “uncontrollable mass migration,” n-tv media company website reports.

According to the information provided by the police, about 15 people took part in the protest, part of which climbed the quadriga atop the Brandenburg Gate. Later, upon the demand of the law enforcement officers called by the witnesses, the radicals climbed down the architectural monument. Nobody has yet been detained; the identities of the protestors are being ascertained. The police suppose that the protestors may be charged with illegal intrusion, violence and violation of assembly rules.
