The law enforcement in Turkey detained numerous staff members of the country’s sole Kurdish-language daily, Azadiya Welat.

Police in Diyarbakır town raided the Azadiya Welat editorial, conducted a nearly 3-hour search there, and detained 27 employees, according to Demokrathaber website of Turkey.

But nothing is yet known with respect to the reasons for the search and the detention.
