Only Turkish plays will be staged this year at the state-run theaters in Turkey.

Nejat Birecik, Director General of the General Directorate of State Theaters of Turkey, noted that, as artists who love the homeland, this year they will stage solely Turkish plays in the state-run theaters of Turkey, so as to strengthen national and ethical sentiments, and support the integrity of the country, according to Birgün daily of Turkey.
