Anod electrical company in Vanadzor hopes that Gazprom Armenia will not refrain from their development, told Anod OJSC Director Samvel Osyan in an interview with the NEWS.am. In 2015, the company had previously agreed with Gazprom Armenia to  supply with  anticorrosive stations for the underground pipelines .

That order helped the company to receive a support from the World Bank within the framework of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF)  grant program. " Gazprom Armenia had bought some of our equipment, but then they explained it is the Gazprom that supervises the import policy and purchases Russian production. This process is beneficial for Russia, it is clear. However, in a foreign country, one perhaps should consider the interests of local producers. After all, we are the EEU member State, and, therefore, not so alien,”  said Osyan.

Vanadzor during the Soviet times was a center of chemical engineering. Now those  factories are  almost completely closed. Nothing remained from the factory where Osyan worked – Automatika scientific production association. In the 90s, when the industry went out of order, Osyan with his former colleagues continued working, if not permanently, over a number of orders.

“In nowadays Lori marz, there are not large factories left. Anod company provides services to small and medium-sized enterprises, collecting automation systems for pasteurization of milk and for bakeries, automatic thermostats for brick burning . etc. We hope that soon we will be able to complete at least the part of orders, which we have been long preparing for. It will be helpful for our city in sense of workplace creation  and support our country's gas distribution network, "Osyan added.
