At the International Conference on African Development in Kenya, Japan , pursuing its ambitions, tried to drive a wedge between China and Africa, said the spokeswoman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hua Chunyin, reports Xinhua.

According to the Japanese news agency Kyodo Tsushin, on August 28 the results of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) Nairobi found their reflection in the Declaration focuses on the preservation of the maritime rules based on the progress of the UN Security Council rules and  reforms. Commenting on that, the Chinese diplomat said that the TICAD must become a platform for progress exchange and cooperation directed to advance Africa's development. Unfortunately, the last week at the 6th Conference of the TICAD Japan tried to impose its will on the African States and drive a wedge into the relationship of China and Africa. Judging from the final document, its content is limited to the cooperation in the African maritime security  sphere.  As for the reform of the UN Security Council's reform, the declaration included  principle formulations of the previous conference held in Yokohama. The report made by the Kyodo Tsushin is biased and does not reflect the reality, she concluded.
