YEREVAN. - The newly-appointed Georgian Ambassador to Armenia Giorgi Saganelidze extended the copies of his credentials to the Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian on Monday.

Congratulating the Ambassador on his appointment, FM Nalbandian wished good luck to him in completing the important mission to further strengthen the cooperation between the two neighboring states.

Thanking for the reception and good wishes, Ambassador Saganelidze noted that it is a great honor to represent Georgia in centuries-old friendly Armenia. He also underscored his readiness to exert maximum efforts towards developing cooperation in all the spheres.

The interlocutors also referred to the preparatory work ahead of the Georgian PM’s visit to Armenia.

Apart from this, a number of issues on the bilateral agenda, including cooperation in the economic, trade, infrastructure, energy and cultural spheres, were discussed, reference being made to the expansion of the legal framework.

FM Nalbandian briefed the Ambassador on the joint efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing states and Armenia towards the exclusively peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
