YEREVAN. – The situation of Aram Manukyan—a wounded member of the Sasna Tsrer armed group which took over a police patrol regiment building, but later surrendered in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan in July—who underwent surgery on Tuesday, is in satisfactory condition.

“Bone fragments’ repair and fracture repair was conducted,” “Erebouni” Medical Center Director Mikayel Manukyan told reporters, reflecting on Aram Manukyan’s surgery, which has ended. “This is the final surgery.”

In his words, however, Aram Manukyan will remain in intensive care for several days, so that any complications can be prevented. Subsequently, they will inform about what further treatment will be needed.

“According to our experience, disability is not observed after such surgeries; we don’t expect this with Aram Manukyan,” he added. “The surgery went exactly as we planned.”
