YEREVAN. - The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan’s Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative districts has denied the motion to change the precautionary measure enforced against Ararat Khandoyan, who has been arrested on charges of participating in the mass unrest in Yerevan in July.

After the end of the hearing, Ararat Khandoyan’s attorney, Ara Gharagyozyan, stated that his client is apparently being politically repressed. He is going to appeal the decision of the court.

Meanwhile, Khandoyan’s mother and friends have gathered outside the court building to express their support for him.

Ararat Khanodyan is the brother of Sasna Tsrer armed group member Arayik Khandoyan, also known as Lonely Wolf.
