YEREVAN. – The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia received information, on Tuesday at 5:32pm.

Accordingly, a forest area was on fire in Khosrov Forest State Reserve.

An operative team from the Ararat Province Crisis Management Center was dispatched to the scene.

It was found out that, according to provisional data, about 15 to 20 hectares of vegetation area was burning at the reserve.

A total of 22 fire and rescue workers also were dispatched to render assistance.

About 16 hectares of vegetation area was destroyed by the fire.

A total of 30 fire and rescue workers and 40 workers from the reserve participated in the firefighting efforts.
