YEREVAN. – The situation is relatively calm at the border, and the number of shots being fired has reduced, Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan told reporters on Wednesday.
“There is shooting; there are violations by our neighbors [i.e. Azerbaijan],” said Ohanyan. “[But] we [i.e. the Armenian side] don’t respond to irregular shooting; we try to see to it that there would not be tension.”
And when asked whether the present-day situation can be considered “calm before the storm,” the Armenian defense minister responded: “Our actions, within the actions of the Armed Forces, are always like a storm. We always keep alert, and are ready to confront the ‘storm.’”:
